The Desi Spotlight is a youth-led community initiative created to highlight and celebrate the South Asian community in the Roanoke area.

Through stories, interviews, and community events, we are creating opportunities for people to share their experiences and for everyone to learn more about the diverse cultures and traditions.

Meet Ravi Anantaraman, the face behind Sun Tennis Center sitting right here in the Roanoke Valley. From being an athlete, tennis coach, and business owner, Ravi has learned to navigate the diverse roles from playing and coaching for over 40 years.
